I’m Emma, a 25 year old kiwi girl pursuing a simple life of happiness, ayurvedic practice, ethical and sustainable living. I'm a sunshine chasing, travel seeking, plant based living free spirit.
I'm a girl with a past now creating the life I've always wanted.
I have grown up on the North Island of New Zealand my entire life in a suburb called West Harbour in Auckland. Personally, I think New Zealand is beautiful and will always call it home, despite currently moving around Australia for working purposes. I have created this webpage; sharing personal life experiences, traveling and work adventures, along with ayurveda practices, eco and sustainable living; in hope to inspire you to so the same.
My family are my EVERYTHING. I have no idea what I would do without them, and am forever grateful for all their love and continuous support. My best friends are my mum and nannymum, some would say that's sad but I think it's cool.
I'm not into the clubbing scene and have never be known as a partying person, but don't get me wrong an evening wine can be just what the soul needs. I rather enjoy the simple things in life and a typical evening consists of sitting at home with my laptop or a good book, thinking about life's purpose (or planning my next travel and/or long term goals).
I experienced bullying, anxiety and throughout my early teen years was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, a severe life threatening mental illness.
This illness changed me a lot, and also taught me so much about the world and myself; my passions, my purpose, my values and because of this, I have only but grown so much stronger through those challenges.
It took me years of hospital admissions, different treatments, medications, countless psychologists, doctors, dieticians, but I truly feel I have finally gotten to a place of harmony and ease within myself. I'm not physically what people refer to as 'recovered' however I am happy and confident in who I am. I'm not perfect, but I am proud of the person I have chosen to become and am constantly trying to better myself, in hope for others to do the same; whether it be health, wellbeing, or overall lifestyle.
I want to use my experience to help other people struggling with a mental health illness; to show that nothing is impossible. I want to be there for anyone who needs it and show others, especially girls, how amazing life is, and just how beautiful it can be. I also want to inspire, and show people how to live a simple and fulfilling life through incorporating ayureda practices, eco and sustainable living, all through a plant based lifestyle, nourishing the body both inside and out. I want people to know that no matter how low your life may get, there is always something to be grateful for. I wish for everyone in life to pursuit happiness and learn how being confident in themselves is truly beautiful.
be kind to one another,
